The other night, we went to the Vogue. The Vogue is a fair in Lyon that comes every year and stays for a couples of weeks on the hill of the Croix-Rousse. They have rides and games for smalls and bigs, a haunted house, bumper cars, crepes and churros, and my favorite: roast chestnuts.
While growing up, my father would often roast chestnuts in the chimney (with a special pan) after we got our pajamas on, just before dinner.
So when I moved to Lyon and discovered the “Vogue aux Marrons” (the “Chestnuts Fair”), it became a little tradition to get some roast chestnuts while enjoying the rides with Dylan and Jamie.
And I’m looking forward to it every year. 🙂
